Fantasy as Reality???

This posting will be a “what if” posting. Many questions, etc., but no answers. Just musings about what in the future may be referred to as the “lying years” that are unfolding every day to my dismay.

What if approximately 30% of any homo sapien population, no matter the environment, is analogous to lemmings? (The image I have of lemmings blindly following the plague/ colony/slice over a cliff to their death. A myth with a hint of truth, but it serves my purpose.) That percentage would always be susceptible to demagoguery. They would always want for their existence to be regulated by someone…anyone but themselves and the endorphin high of emotional release. They need to be told the time, the place, the how of what they are to do and be. They have no independent thought or life. They are the lemmings of myth and, whatever their demagogue even suggests, they eagerly make reality or die trying.

There will be no peace on this Earth as long as patriarchy reigns. Think…patriarchy was created at a time when the life span was no more than forty years. Usually much less because of disease and other natural causes. It was normal, even well into the 18th century, for teenagers to marry. Why? The life span was short, so procreation had to take place when young.

We now know that the median age for brain maturity in humans is late twenties. That means that many brains do not mature until later. So, the patriarchy is the male fantasy of the toddler/child/adolescent male. A male fantasy that revels in death, destruction, temper tantrums, egotism, narcissism, selfishness, greed, hierarchy, fear mongering, misogyny. A male fantasy that has plagued this Earth for thousands of years. For in patriarchy, now that the life span has increased, there is no incentive for the male to actually mature. The physical capacity is there, but not the social capacity or will.

What I have seen is that human beings seem to think the opposite of what they are experiencing is better. Of course, if we studied our past, we would know that is rarely the case. Every Eden has its serpents. Think…in that long ago past, the toddler to teenage male was nurtured by his mother, if she survived his birth. He is dependent upon the mother for food, shelter, clothing, lessons, civilizing. I suppose the male toddler/teenager resented the mother’s control (and would resent mothers if he had no mother) and, in his immature ignorance, believed that male control would be better. The male could do as he desired with no one to chastise or teach him.

However, in the matriarchy, maybe there were incentives for the male to mature. We will never know because the patriarchy has ensured that the era of the matriarchy has been mostly erased from the oral and written records that are extant. As I’ve written before, I believe the story of Lilith is a hint of a matriarchal era.

How much more can this Earth absorb of this fantasy before this Earth can sustain no life? Maybe, the immaturity of the male has to become manifest and pervasive and harmful to the nascent idea of civilization before it can be acknowledged and dealt with and that is what is happening now. Maybe, woman has to manifest that male immaturity as that is also happening now.

Supposedly, we’re in the Age of Aquarius. Water…the greatest scourer/cleanser on this Earth. What if this Age of Aquarius saves this Earth by scouring patriarchy into the past, never to be resurrected? This Age of Aquarius could restore balance between the female and male. Maybe, then, this Earth would flourish and we, her children, could become what now can only be imagined.

What do you see in the picture? I know what the picture is and, when I glance at it, my first thought is of something it is not. Strange how the brain associates images, even when we know what the image is.

The N. Y. Times had a quiz dealing with A.I. generated images. I did okay, but I do not think photoshopped pictures should have been included. Sometimes, with photoshopping, something about the spatial aspect is sometimes off. I took the quiz to learn more about distinguishing A.I. generated pictures and I learned some more details to look for. So, mission accomplished.

Below is a quote from Sun Tzu that the immature males who dominate the news cycle will never understand.

A leader leads by example, not by force. – Sun Tzu
