I grew up with the yellow spring flower everyone I knew named “buttercups”. At some point in my life’s journey, I learned that those early spring yellow flowers were actually “daffodils”. My mother had a row of buttercups mixed with white narcissi. I never liked the narcissus because of its cloying smell which one couldn’t avoid if anywhere near. But, the yellow flowers mixed with the white flowers were aesthetically pleasing and memory pleasing.
Let’s talk about witches. In order to justify male superiority, because patriarchy is a zero sum society, women had to be othered and lessened. Patriarchy did this by demonizing women and their powers. Women who exercised any type of power that threatened male hegemony were demonized as witches. When witches are mentioned as they have been lately in the typical fashion of being evil, of the dark side, I think about the Witch of Endor. (See, 1 Samuel 28:3-25) When the prophets and the priests were wrong or had no answer, the Witch of Endor conjured up the right prophecy and that prophecy was fulfilled.
The designation of a woman as a witch is all about control. It is also about greed. In some societies, if a woman is even rumored to be a witch, her property is subject to be confiscated by the males in control and she is usually exiled or murdered.
We have fought hard and long for integration, as I believe we should have, and I know that we will win. But I’ve come to believe we’re integrating into a burning house. I’m afraid that America may be losing what moral vision she may have had… MLK
The kitchen’s on fire and no one has noticed the thick black smoke or the acrid noxious smell of melting plastic. They’re sitting in the living room engrossed in a video game as they complain about the neighbor who doesn’t want them parking in front of her house. I don’t know everything and I don’t pretend to. Why don’t we have a foundation like the Heritage Foundation? Why isn’t there a group of us with a vision who have set forth a plan to achieve that vision? Why is it that evil always has a long range plan with definite goals and the whys and wherefores of achieving those goals?
Have we a plan if by some miracle we get reparations? Or would we eagerly toss it into the burning house and stand there as the embers singe us? The only reason white supremacy would give reparations to Blacks is that the reparations, plus the debt we would incur, would immediately further enrich the white predators who would be waiting to pounce. Debt–this is a capitalistic society and whatever money you have will never be enough to buy the lie that will lure you to spend and spend. The moneylenders will be waiting. Do we understand that certain predators will see the reparations as collateral for loans with exorbitant interest? What is the plan? Every individual will spend the reparations as she or he sees fit? I know the way of plans–plans will be sabotaged, plans can never account for all contingencies. But plans can provide a starting point.
We are being erased from the public sphere, just as we were during Jim Crow. I saw where “Black” we as a group of people are not to be mentioned in federal documents, along with words like diversity, inclusion, etc. Our citizenship is being defined as a second class citizen with no rights that whites are bound to recognize. Remember Dred Scott? All so white males can continue the delusion that they are superior.
White males repeat the same playbook. White males demonize what they cannot control or any potential/incipient threat to their control. The ignorant and stupid masses will then take up the hue and cry and the “demon” is vanquished through law or violence or both.

Let’s put white men in their rightful place–no better than anyone else. Let’s be honest about the evil they have done and continue to do. White males have done enough damage. Let’s not continue to lionize a group that has more of the attributes of the hyena (don’t know if hyenas deserve the comparison!).
So now scholars have a new name for “fiefdom”. Now, it’s called patrimonialism. Defined as the state being an extension of the household of the ruler. The ruler would be the protector of the people and the personification of the state. He would be the “father”. Doesn’t that sound like a fiefdom? Why confuse people with a new name when the old one that people understand would suffice? The article in February 24, 2025 edition of The Atlantic authored by Jonathan Rauch does say that this form of governing is ancient. Feudal Lord, King, Thane, Chief, etc.–the male leadership titles of the patriarchy–why rename?
The way to discredit such leadership? Cry corruption until the ignorant masses understand that they are being used and used badly for the enrichment of the leader. At some point, the masses will understand that their ignorance, ill health, lack of nourishing food, poverty, xenophobia is the result of the deliberate policies and procedures of the leader. If we look at medieval Europe, it might take a while and some plagues for the masses to wake up.
I’m over simplifying, but stop with the renaming!
Sometimes we miss the tree because of the forest. Education and the ability to educate oneself is being attacked. Oligarchs, dictators, and kings rely on an ignorant stupid populace with no or few options to maintain control. That’s the goal. The oligarchs, the dictators don’t want the crap jobs done by anyone but the citizens. (Too many people in the country that do not look like them is a threat to their control.) They want us to be so desperate, so uneducated, so locked in with no options, that citizens (younger and younger) will compete for the crap jobs at wages so low that all one has the energy to do is work, participate in state sponsored, probably mandatory, entertainment, breed worker drones, and sleep the dreamless sleep of the overworked, sick, hopeless animal that one has become. And the oligarchs and dictators get fatter and fatter with their protruding bellies as they enact harsh laws to extract more work…
Side note: The universities, the elite universities, are admitting students who do not have the attention span to read a book. What kind of society can they possibly maintain when it is their time to take positions of influence and power?
