Why does evil attract so many followers? And they not only follow they act out the evil. The followers commit atrocities and seemingly have no remorse. Think of all the Nazis who fled to South America so they would face no consequences for the evil they willingly committed. How do these people sleep at night? They must not believe in a heaven, for they must know that no heaven awaits them…only the deepest reaches of a hell they could never have imagined.
Have you noticed that we are being subjected to the reboot of the reboot ad nauseum? What does it say about a society where creativity has stagnated? Does that society have a future? I’ve realized that capitalism doesn’t reward creativity if creativity doesn’t make money. And the creativity that is rewarded must not challenge the system or decrease the power of those who are in power.
It is so disheartening to read the comments dealing with the history of these United States. The ignorance of people and their willingness to die on the hill of their ignorance is astounding and troublesome. Why won’t you google Emancipation Proclamation? You would then know that it only freed the Slaves in the Confederacy. That’s why the 13th Amendment was needed. Why don’t you google Dred Scott? Then you would know that no Black person, Slave or Free Black, was considered a citizen. Why not google the 14th amendment? Then, you would know that its primary purpose was to overturn the Scott decision and ensure that all Blacks, Slave or Free, would be citizens. You’d also know that the language used could be broadly applied. (Mind doodle-when one knows something about the 1860s…the U.S. was industrializing. The U.S. needed cheap labor and immigration was a source of cheap labor. Is it so far fetched that the writers of the 14th amendment were being farsighted? What a way to bring the immigrants into the fold if they became contentious? Don’t want to harm your child who is a citizen? Toe the line.) Is it too draining to take the initiative before posting your ignorance for the world to see?
Mind doodle–You’re in the depths of a building where the mechanics that run the building is housed. How did you get there? Outside there is a raging fire and you were running from it and this building was there and a door was open. You run into a corridor that doesn’t seem to have an exit or to go anywhere except up. A window–you look out and a lone person in a fire fighting machine is battling the ferocious blaze. His expression is grim as if he knows the odds are against him. Then, all of a sudden, you see a door. You open the door and you are on a plaza. On the plaza there are vendors and there is a person eating an ice cream cone. People are sitting on the steps, chatting. The guard is even allowing persons to enter the building and you tell him that outside the building in the sub-sub basement area, outside there is nothing but a raging fire.
The guard shrugs and points to another person who nods and enters the building. No one is concerned that all around the nether regions of the building is a raging fire. No one is concerned. (End of mind doodle.)
Another mind doodle–what is not written about is that the males who warred their way out of the mountains where they were trapped during the Ice Age were probably more so homosexual than not. If what I read was correct, those male sacrificed their females to the thunder and volcanic gods that they worshipped. And the few females that were left would have been used, abused, and raped by the chief/priest/favored minions, leaving most of the males with only themselves for company. So there were too few females for the number of males. Reminds me of the shortsightedness of the Chinese and Indian cultures that revere males and murder the females. These inbred homosexual males were the progenitors of the patriarchy that is destroying this Earth. I suppose they were bisexual in that they realized that males could not bear children. However, their disdain and murderous attitude toward females have been some of the defining characteristics of the patriarchy.
Message from the in-Justice Department–murder a Black woman, an innocent Black woman–one day in jail, but with time served, effectively no jail time. Why? White boy has suffered enough. He will never get another job as a police officer. Black lives matter? But white supremacy says don’t complain–loss of job equals loss of life. Just read where this former “law” officer received thirty-three months. Still not enough to send a message that our lives matter.
I read Common Sense by Thomas Paine. My takeaway–do not procrastinate. If something needs to be done, there will never be an optimal time to do it and maybe one’s descendants will reap the benefit of their forebears’ seizing of the day.
Measles outbreak…pneumonic plague…COVID and dysfunctional federal and state governments equal a recipe for disaster.
I’ve always wondered why people who change from one thing to another hate their previous choice. Like when a Democrat decides to be a Republican. Like our current president. Nothing but hatred and denigration for what he once supported. Like all these rabid southerners whose parents and grandparents were Democrats, but who are now Republican and have nothing but hatred for the Democrats. Or do they realize that they are honoring their forebears by following hate and evil. When the Democrats was the party of hate, they supported Democrats; now that the Republicans is the party of hate, they support Republicans. Is hate that potent a cleanser of that previous choice?
What is it in the human psyche that derives such pleasure from hate? Or maybe it’s only in the psyche of the group that have named themselves “white”. Is this irrational hatred of their past selves the only way they have to differentiate what they were from what they are now? They who have named themselves “white” have shown us and are showing us that they are non-intelligent, mediocre, evil, amoral, liars with no compassion or empathy for anyone who they deem different.
I am not a fan of the phrase “not all white people”. Why? Because white people do not personalize the “other”. Once whites have labeled a group, anyone who is in that group is that label. I think we should look at white people the same. And their label, from their actions past and current, consists of the attributes set forth in the previous paragraph. Why give grace to a people who have none to give in return?
