On Sunday, I was inside and lamenting that it had not rained as forecasted. The sun was shining, it was late afternoon, time to water my plants. I opened the door, and, behold, it was raining–the devil was beating his wife–that’s what we say when it is raining and the sun is shining. It was probably just a shower, but enough so that I could put off watering for another day. Isn’t it weird how insulated and isolated we are from the outdoors when we are in our air conditioned homes?
Mind doodle–Skinny is in…again. I don’t think “skinny” ever left. But hasn’t skinny always been in in this youth obsessed United States. It’s part and parcel of the toxic patriarchy that has dominated this earth since the progenitors of the patriarchy raged, raped, and pillaged their way out of the ice bound areas of the last Ice Age. What does a skinny female remind one of? A young boy, wouldn’t you say? The lizard brain remembers when sexual satisfaction/fantasies were centered on the young male figure. That is the male ideal. That is what is hidden beneath the bravado and hypocrisy of the so-called “alpha” male.
A person who is brown, but, I suppose, longs to be white is promoting a flag called the “Earth Flag”. All it is is a flag created by a European that screams white supremacy. This “flag for the species” is seven interlocking white circles on a blue background. Is the creator so clueless as not to know that the color “white” has been coopted by a vicious, violent, barbaric people who have spread their inhumaneness in every land they’ve been? (He’s one of them, so I suppose not.) (And yes, I’ve seen the picture of the Earth from space–pale blue dot. Maybe that’s what this white male is trying to evoke. Well, with me, at least, he has failed.) The color “white” cannot be white- or sane-washed to be an inclusive symbol. How inclusive are those seven interlocking white circles? Why would I, a Black person, see that symbol of violence as representative of Earth? The flag says wherever “whites” are, we will stand together to rape, pillage, steal, lie, murder to get what you have. So, if there are any other planetary beings, if you see that flag, know that the barbarians are coming and repel them by any means necessary. No, brown person…that is not a flag for all of us and should never be promoted as such.
If you are an amoral, vicious, evil, criminal, misogynistic, prejudiced, non-compassionate person…now is the time for you to shine. The year 2025, a quarter of the century in and the lack of compassionate humanity of persons is the dominant zeitgeist.
Why aren’t the true criminals deported, i.e., white males. They’re the ones who commit most of the mass murders, irrational murders, vicious animalistic murders. (They are sane washed–childhood trauma, mental illness, etc., etc., and given hamburgers paid for by their jailors on the way to jail.) Oh, yes, all the current policies are geared toward make America white again, and, not only white, but dominated by white males who have proven themselves to be amoral, criminal, murderers, liars, cheats, misogynists, racists…generally the kind of people that belong under a jail. You know, at first I did not understand why persons seeking asylum were considered the worst of the worse. Then, I understood that the people using the word were so stupid that they did not understand the different definitions of “asylum”. Such stupidity should never be the norm…but sadly it is.
Now, that we know that the checks put in place by the Constitution do not work if all the checks are controlled by ideologues…what can be put into place to avoid a future takeover by ideologues? Gerrymandering, for any reason, should be a criminal offense and the persons convicted of gerrymandering should serve long sentences, be fined a substantial amount, and be ineligible for public office. Judges who are ideologues should be disbarred for life and ineligible for public office. The Constitution should be treated as a “living” document and reviewed every twenty years and proposed changes should be subject to a popular vote referendum. The electoral college should be abolished. There have to be life changing consequences to overcome our tendency to be selfish and greedy. There have to be incentives for people who are ethical, moral, compassionate, future thinking to be part of the government. Unfortunately, at present, the worst of humanity is attracted to government service.
So…allow sarcasm–as long as a state is carved into nonsensical districts to promote white supremacy–that is legitimate and laudable; however, to provide districts that are majority Black is a violation of every law, constitution, fairness doctrine known to man. Make these horrible white people make sense.
The old saying is when you know better, you should do better. However, sometimes even when one knows better, one doesn’t do better. Especially, when the “do better” conflicts with a cherished memory. I will not pass on what was told to me in good faith, but whenever I hear a particular bird’s song, I will remember what my grandmother told me as we sat around a smoky fire, on a hot summer’s evening, swatting mosquitoes under the fire hollowed trees that shaded the backyard. (Long time before I was born, the house my grandparents lived in burned to the ground, forever scarring the trees that survived.)
The more whites try to hide their ignorance, incompetence, pettiness, hypocrisy, and inhumanity, the more they highlight how lacking they are. A person with no respect for the rule of law or the institution to which he has been appointed is now a federal judge for life. These people from the highest to the lowest office are so low class, immoral, ignorant, and lacking in character. They are ideologues immersed in their bubble of victimhood, imaginary lack, and laughable superiority.
White people are such hypocrites. When the Klan, a vicious, violent racist gang, burned and pillaged Black people’s homes and businesses there was no outcry against the violence to innocent Black people…no one decried the gang violence against the few…no one asked why the police did not serve and protect the Black community or persons who were targeted. When white people who start a fight get there comeuppance, the persons who are defending themselves and those who assist are thugs, criminals and they’ve committed a hate crime. But the violence of the masked white robed clan was what…a holy crusade?
And they’re still doing the pillaging with laws that have been upended and used not for their intended purpose, but to bolster the whites’ imagined victimhood.
I think, when I’m planting, that I forget the harvesting phase. Harvest time is like now–high nineties temp with over 50% humidity and mosquitoes. I didn’t like doing it growing up and I certainly don’t like doing it now. This evening after six I’ll harvest some beans and see what else is ripe.
