I was incredibly lucky to take the above photo. I don’t have a fancy camera and the bee was still enough for the picture not to be fuzzy. As I’ve said before, usually the bees are feasting on the ornamental sage. Maybe this bee wanted another taste treat!
Make it make sense. The government is going after organizations/people that disagree with it, not the organizations/people that support him that actually promote and engage in violence. Another one of those–okay for me, but not for you–hypocritic rules of the true violence mongers.

These people are so full of hate, such hypocrites, so empty–could they ever think to ask the above question. Because they are not being embraced as the best iteration of homo sapiens since the rise of homo sapiens, they destroy–society, themselves. So they can be the only ones left in the midst of destruction–shouting to the universe–see, I was right, you should’ve liked me, listened to me, revered me. I wouldn’t have had to do this if you’d just liked me. Mindless juvenile behavior…
That’s the kind of person–lizard brain dominant, fractured neuronic paths to higher brain functions–empty shell that can only be filled with hate. Hate is their aphrodisiac. Hate is their dopamine, endorphin, serotonin, and oxytocin.
Just saw a video about lynchings in Mississippi. Two just occurred in the last week and both have been ruled a suicide. Another Black man was found hanged in New York earlier this year. Also, ruled a suicide. One of the Black men was found hanged on a majority white college campus, no less. The other, homeless, was found in some woods. On August 8, 2025, the Washington Post posted an article about lynchings in Mississippi, that won’t seem to stop. We are being informed, in no uncertain terms, that Jim Crow has returned in all its heinousness. And, just as in Jim Crow, the white supremacists who have taken the oath to serve and protect will disparage, belittle, minimize these acts of terror. Because, after all, they must, protect their fellow white supremacists from any accountability for their acts of terror against Black people.
So, masked ICE agents are not enough for white people. Just saw a video of white supremacists dressed in Klan costume…September 2025. White people don’t seem to progress. They are regressive. To them the past is always better. I suppose because they can change their memory of the past to suit whatever narrative that makes them feel superior. If they want to be cave people, why don’t they go back to the caves? Some of us don’t want to inhabit their caves and that is our choice. Leave us alone.
Age without maturity is a disappointment to the society that requires individual maturity in order to progress.
In 1987, Ted Kennedy described Supreme Court nominee’s Robert Bork’s America:

Because Bork was not confirmed, this country’s interregnum from blatant racism lasted for about sixty years, but Bork’s idea of the United States is now here. I wonder if he would have been as corrupt as the current Supreme Court? He was outspoken in his regressive, repressive, misogynistic views, while we have three, that I know of, on the Supreme Court who lied during their confirmation hearings.
“Respect” as defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary: to consider worthy of high regard and/or to refrain from interfering with. When did the people in this country lose respect, not only for themselves, but also for others? Is this the end result of a daily diet of social media? Is that what we see–influencers who have no respect for their audience and, in return, the audience has no respect for the influencer? Because in this capitalistic society, it’s all about the money. One shouldn’t respect someone who stands for nothing except that which will put money in their pocket. And, especially when that “nothing” changes when the money ceases to flow.
An injection of “respect” would change this country for the better. MLK said–Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. Sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity–both abundant in this country and both anathema to “respect”. I do have some question about the adjectives “sincere” and “conscientious”. It seems more and more apparent that the ignorance is willful as people so want their bubble to be “the bubble” that they don’t even bother to support their bubble with facts. Emotion rules. And if conscientious is the inner voice that warns us of third party scrutiny–the stupid people of today in 2025 have no such inner voice or the inner voice is so muted that it cannot be heard. And that would be true if that inner voice is a function of the pre-frontal cortex which appears to be dormant or inaccessible to many persons.
Ida B. Wells (1862-1931) was a Black journalist born in the last years of Slavery. She wrote about the lynchings that were all too frequent in the South. At some point, the white supremacists targeted her, destroyed the building that housed her newspaper, and she had to flee from Memphis, TN to Chicago, IL. She did not allow that violence to stop her from speaking out about lynchings and the reasons therefor. Whites, as always, with no evidence or proof, blamed the lynchings on crimes committed by the victims. Ida B. Wells wrote that whites used lynchings to terrorize Blacks because they feared the economic and political competition and the loss of power such competition would cause.
In 2025, we know that Ida B. Wells was correct and we know that the white mindset has not changed. In 2025, the whites have proven their mediocrity and incompetence for the world to see. And, as was the case in the past, whites are not only targeting Black voices in an effort to assert their domination, they are targeting their own who do not fall in step with white supremacy. Remember, in the 1800s, the white supremacists were violent toward the white Abolitionists, so white response to any threat to their supremacy is met with violence. Nothing has changed….
Yesterday, I noticed a spiderweb between two trees. I could only wonder how the spider had managed the feat as that thin strand covered more than ten feet of empty space. I tried to take a picture, but I could only catch glimpses of the strand on that partly cloudy day. For some reason, it reminded me of the clothes line that we hung clothes on to dry when I was growing up. Plus, my camera didn’t have the resolution required to capture that gossamer strand. But, I wonder how that spider did it. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze.
