Spring is here! I’ve seen butterflies and bumblebees. The birds are raucously mating. And we seem to be going immediately into summer temperatures. This bee is on a redbud tree that I suppose is a volunteer courtesy of birds or the wind. I wonder if I can cut it back and make it more of a shrub than a tree? This tree is way too close to the house and I’ll have to decide before it gets too much bigger.

Hopscotch or some version thereof in 2026! Didn’t know little girls still knew how to do this! We didn’t have colored chalk when I was young. We had white chalk on gray concrete sidewalks or black pavement. I remember hopscotch, but as I looked at the numbered squares, I could not remember the rules or how to play.
Black walnut trees–I have a number of these trees in my back yard. I call them my Ent trees. None of the walnut trees were damaged in the ice event. They have not yet leafed out. This is what the Internet says about them–Black walnut trees (Juglans nigra) are tall, long-llived deciduous trees valued for their edible nuts, high-quality wood, and ecological impact, but they produce juglone, a chemical that inhibits nearby plant growth.
Underneath my walnut trees is plenty of plant growth, mostly weeds and scrub bushes. But there are a magnolia tree, crepe myrtle trees, some weeds that have star like flowers, a purplish weed that has purplish blooms, wild violets–all growing quite well under the canopies of the walnut trees. I wonder if these plants and trees were planted or volunteered after the walnut trees and acclimatized themselves to the environment created by the walnut tree?
I beat the lawnmower! Today, I was walking in the yard and noticed a plant that just might be a keeper. I googled it and guess what…my buckeye tree had an offspring! I dug it up and replanted it and guess what–my lawn guy came today. That was a close one!!! 
We all know the story of the fireman who sets fires so that he can put out the fire, maybe save some people so that he would be seen and lauded as a hero. Day in and day out, we see that same scenario being played out by politicians. Only they’re starting fires and gleefully boasting about the people they’ve murdered as they tell us that they’re the only ones who can put out the fire and save lives.. That’s a lie…the Constitution provides a remedy for politicians who have run amok. The Framers of the Constitution did not provide for the contingency that the checks and balances would fail because the persons serving in the positions of the checks and balances were as corrupt as the politicians that have run amok.
The bar for white people, especially white males, to get a job is so low and the more prestigious the job the lower the bar, it is a wonder that breathing is required. And they’ve created all kinds of awards to celebrate their mediocrity and their mediocrity has become the norm. Because of that, excellence is scorned, ridiculed, and stolen, either to be suppressed or appropriated. so they never have to come to terms with their mediocrity.
Sad…part of make America white again is the whitening of T.V. shows. Spoke to a friend who watches legacy TV. Black characters are being written out of the shows or killed off. But that is also part of the consolidation of the media in the hands of white, racist, misogynistic billionaires. Not seen, not heard, just used. That’s there definition of great…Jim Crow Redux.

Someone mentioned that the Slave trade included rape, murder, dehumanization, brutalization, etc., so what crime against humanity was not included in the West’s version of Slavery?(Isn’t it a form of genocide to brutally disconnect a people from their language, their country of origin, their culture, and impose a foreign tyranny that controls every aspect of their being?) The U.S. which still has a provision condoning Slavery in its Constitution voted no; Israel, the country created by white appropriators of a religion created by a Black people and corrupted by them to justify their barbaric acts, that has committed to genocide voted no; Argentina the country that many Nazis fled to voted no; and Europe, all of Europe and that includes those countries that began the transatlantic Slave trade and profited therefrom, abstained.
I wonder if white people will ever realize that their imagined superiority has been exposed by the ignorant whites of the United States. Their mediocrity, lack of intelligence, their lack of critical thinking, their need to be lemmings–all exposed and once one sees it, it can not be unseen. There is an old saying better to be silent than to speak and be known as a fool. Whites have spoken and now they are known as the fools they have always been.
They have cosplayed as witches, wizards, magicians, seers, scientists, human beings and now we know the emperor has no clothes. They have cosplayed the roles of power, of being able to connect to something greater through magic, mind, knowledge that many actually believe they are special. But, like in The Wizard of Oz, all there is is a con-man who is hiding behind projected masks, smoke, and mirrors.
Too bad this regime has never read Sun Tzu’s Art of War, Machiavelli’s The Prince, or any other book that would have enlightened them about governance or war.
