Weeds are just plants growing in the wrong place; vermin are animals (sometimes really cute critters) who live and wreak havoc in human occupied spaces. I think raccoons are cute. They are very intelligent which is why they can sometimes be such a nuisance. The raccoon that frequented my deck decided that it wanted to further destroy the screen that kept out the bugs and mosquitoes. (The squirrels had preceded it.) And, to ensure that I knew that it was responsible, it had the nerve to pose for the security camera. How did I know that it was posing? Well, it flattened itself on the mesh screen some kind of way in full view of the camera. No reason for it to strike that pose if not for the camera. And stayed there for some time to ensure there was no mistake. (I didn’t see the video until much later.) That raccoon told me, probably while gloating over the destruction of that section of screen–I was here! I came, I invaded, I destroyed! What you gone do about it?
How does one respond when a majority of the people you’re trying to reach want a “show”, a “carnival”, a quick endorphin fix, fleeting entertainment? The oligarchs will provide entertainment for the masses to lull them into complacency. They’re doing it already with the addictive violent video games and games, mindless games, available on our phones. And if the shows on television are any indicator, the more vicious the entertainment, the more the masses will accept their misery. When they are not toiling for their masters, they will be transfixed by the viciousness of the entertainment that features someone who looks like them. They will eagerly vote for ever more viciousness and even death for the unlucky one who is being mangled for their entertainment.
The culture of white supremacy is summed up by this killer of birds–“I do not protect birds, I kill them.” (Quote of Charles B. Cory president of the American Ornithologists’ Union in 1902 from When Ornithology Grew Up by Tim Gallagher in the December 2024 Smithsonian magazine.) That is the approach of white people to the flora and fauna and the land wherever they set foot. Even if the damage is subsequently acknowledged as unacceptable, it is usually irreparable and a precious flora or fauna is lost forever.
I always thought it strange that the marriage vows said ” I now pronounce you man and wife”. See, the woman’s change in status is acknowledged, but not the man’s. Now, most marriage vows end in “I now pronounce you husband and wife” which acknowledges the man’s change in status. This may be the cause of men not wanting to be married. With this acknowledgment of their change in status comes new responsibilities, new duties which many of the toddler to adolescent males(mature in body, but not in mind or social development) that are produced by this society run from.
From reading and watching the science fiction and adventure stories produced by this white supremacist society, it appears that to defeat them one must use their tactics, their weapons, however, one must have the moral fortitude, the character, the will not to be consumed by the evil that you are wielding. But who and where do we find that being(s) who is strong enough to resist the corruption of power?
Now, we see, the loud ones who say they speak for us aping the behavior of the white supremacists and being punished by the white supremacists for their audacity. And they should be, for they are no better than the white supremacists and even worse–for their skin color gains them access to the people who they are betraying and will continue to betray.
We found out long go that the philosopher king was a mythical ideal that no human had ever attained. We know that no form of government created by the patriarchy is sustainable. Patriarchy thrives on the hierarchy, the individual, war, greed, dominance, othering. Patriarchy is zero-sum. Cooperative Societies are sustainable, but the patriarchal societies that have ruled for the past two thousand years have virtually destroyed all evidence of Cooperative Societies in order to maintain their hegemony. We only have hints of what may have been Cooperative Societies that lasted for thousands of years and we do not know with certainty what caused their demise.
Probably the advent of the patriarchy destroyed the remnants of those Cooperative Societies, but it appears that they may have been in decline and susceptible to the encroaching patriarchy. Maybe, it is the natural arc of the pendulum–societies rise, peak, and decline.
